Originally a family home, the cottage has been renovated to maintain the original period features whilst bringing the utilities into the 21st century. Think roll-top baths, roaring log fires and tasteful, period interior design. We also allow pets!

The bungalow’s recent renovations mean it boasts a sleek, modern furniture with spacious rooms and large windows giving an airy and light feel.
We are located only a two-minute walk from the centre of Hay-on-Wye and an equal distance to the idyllic, meandering River Wye. There are plenty of activities on offer in the locality, including gorgeous walks, canoeing and outdoor pursuits. The cottage is only a stone's throw from The Globe at Hay. As one of Wales' favourite arts centres, it offers a range of entertainment, including live music, art exhibitions, comedy and open mics. As a little treat, guests at Smallbrook are given free tickets to all events during their stay.
