GATED ESTATES - In a small studio nestled in the Brecon Beacons, agitated art-rock was pioneered by the up-and-coming artist Gated Estates. An outfit with the enlightened ingenuity to amalgamate rock, electronica, and experimental sound design. Gated Estates weave together classic songwriting, absurd humor, mysticism, and emotive depth. Gated Estates' widely acclaimed eponymously titled debut LP dances through a heady arena of electronica, post-rock, indie and psychadelic pop. The ten tracks lyrically explore life through the lens of modern culture; our divisive tendencies and idiosyncratic search for happiness and vice. Melody and structure are presented in innovative yet familar fashion. A pitting of classic songwriting, absurd humour, mysticism and emotive depth. Gated Estates explore old ways of thinking with modern tools.
BOATBAR TO HAMBURG - Boatbar to Hamburg emerges from the vibrant Swansea Uplands music scene, led by singer and songwriter Anthony Bunkham, the lineup has evolved to include violin, guitars, bass, drums and keyboard, enhancing Anthony's poetic, warm and witty compositions to create a world of pure emotion. Boatbar to Hamburg are musical storytellers, sharing tales of life and love, and the human experience. Their gorgeously crafted songs will take you on a journey both to familiar and unfamiliar places, and they will resonate deep within you and capture your hearts and ears.
