Community comes first at The Globe; we’re committed to championing the people, talent, and spirit of Hay-on-Wye. One way we aim to achieve this is through our community style events. From craft and dance workshops, to boardgame and philosophy nights, there is always something happening to bring people together.
Little Willows Playgroup
every Friday | 10am - 12pm | free entry
Little Willows—a fun, nature-inspired playgroup for little adventurers! Join us for free mornings of laughter, crafts, and seasonal activities like scavenger hunts and flower pressing. Let’s make memories together!
Open Mic at The Globe
every Friday | 8pm - late | free entry
Come on down to perform, or simply sit back and enjoy the talent at the Globe's famous open mic! A dedicated sound technician is present throughout to help performers set up and sound their best.
Craft & Sip
every 2nd Thursday of the month | 6pm
Each month we explore a different craft — from painting and seasonal decorations to glassware design and floral crafts. All materials are provided, and you’ll be guided through the activity whilst enjoying a complementary drink!

Spanish Sessions

Fire Jams

Step into the flames and join us for an evening of fire flow, movement, music, and community at The Globe at Hay. Hosted by Pyro Cymru, this open fire jam welcomes performers, hobbyist, enthusiasts, and curious spectators alike to gather in a safe, supportive space to spin, practice, connect, and be inspired.
Whether you're a seasoned fire artist or simply drawn to the energy of flow arts, come share the glow meet like-minded people, and experience the warmth of the fire community.

Boardgames & Burgers

Bring your friends, meet new people, and dive into a selection of classic and modern board games while enjoying a delicious freshly made burger.

Sacred Song and Dance
every 3rd Tuesday of the month | 7:30pm - 9:30pm | £8-£15 sliding scale
Join us in the joy of sacred songs and circle dances inspired by global spiritual traditions. As we sing, we help bring Harmony, Healing and Beauty into our lives and the world. Our practice is also known as Dances of Universal Peace or Sufi dancing and honours all the world’s spiritual traditions and peoples.
