Kathy’s Song: A Celebration of Simon & Garfunkel
Backstory combine a full-bodied acoustic sound with world class storytelling to create shows that celebrate iconic Sixties artists. They are not a tribute act… Their acclaimed song + story approach is richer, deeper and intensely nostalgic. Kathy’s Song explores the meteoric rise to fame of Simon & Garfunkel, told through the eyes of Kathy Chitty, Paul Simon’s English girlfriend and muse. Featuring all the hits, performed completely live, it’s a surprising and moving love story that brings a catalogue of beloved songs to life in a completely new way. Storyteller/singer/show writer Cat Weatherill has collaborated with Bellowhead for the South Bank London and performs globally at the world’s greatest literature festivals (including Hay!) Guitarist/singer Ian Cooke is an internationally acclaimed musician and composer.
