The Amazing Fruitables interactive food superhero adventure

1pm in Globe Garden
I’m Lucy Whiteside, a Specialist Children’s Dietitian with over 13 years of NHS experience, founder of Flourish Kids, and author of The Amazing Fruitables and the Ice Cream Thieves.
I’m passionate about changing the way children see food through storytelling, creativity, play, and positive food experiences. My work combines nutrition, imagination, and interactive learning to help children build confidence and curiosity around food in a fun and pressure free way.
Join me for a high energy interactive storytelling adventure based on my book, The Amazing Fruitables and the Ice Cream Thieves.
Set in Nutri Ville, the story follows a team of food superheroes who discover how different foods unlock superpowers in their own bodies. But when the town’s ice cream starts mysteriously disappearing, the Amazing Fruitables must work together to solve the mystery and save the day.
This playful and engaging session helps children explore how food supports their bodies through adventure, characters, imagination, and interactive storytelling rather than pressure or fear around food.
Perfect for children aged 0–12 years, the session includes:
• Live interactive storytelling
• Meet the Fruitable characters and discover their superpowers
• Dress up and superhero role play
• Design your own Fruitable
• Character hunts and interactive activities
• Positive food and wellbeing themes explored in a child friendly way
• Opportunities for photos and signed books after the session
Designed to be engaging, imaginative, and inclusive, this is a joyful family session all about curiosity, confidence, creativity, and fun.
